02/12/06 Update --
Gee, did I REALLY say that the site that would be updated in the middle of November 2005????
Once again, my optimism about website updates has gotten the better of me :-O and I
apologize to everyone who has patiently waited for me to upload new
cues. Fortunately, I have finally found some spare time to upload
many of the new cues that I have in inventory at this time, AND
there will be more to come. I've just uploaded the pictures of the
new Kenny Murrell cues (sorry, no specs. yet), and
Tim Prince's Bio. I
will also be posting all of the new Kenny Murrell cue specs as well as
pictures and specs of the cues identified below as quickly as I can
(no more OPTIMISTIC PROMISES!) |

Prince (Prince Cues) of Glendale Heights, IL will be joining the
Wolfbite Family of custom cue makers, so keep your eyes peeled for his
Bio and some of his cues as soon as the site is updated. |

03/21/05 Update --
I apologize to all of my returning visitors...I still have not had a
chance to update my current cue gallery with the latest additions. The
good news is that I will be adding 3 new mid-range Kenneth Murrell
cues and 2 new Shannon cues along with the new "Uncle Larry" cue by
the end of the month. If you are unfamiliar with Shannon cues, you
will also be able to "meet the cue maker" in the Featured Cue Makers
section of the website ALSO at the end of the month. It looks like the
3 new Viattorre cues will be delayed until sometime in April. Jackson
Tan and the guys have been WAY BUSY lately and their waiting period
has stretched out to around 12 months!....Good thing I've had my order
in for a while :-) As a side note, I'm also working on several more
"pool cue articles" that I hope to publish on the site in the next 30
- 45 days or so, so keep your eyes peeled, and thanks for your
patience AND your business! |

03/06/05 Update --
Greetings from Illinois! No, I haven't "lost my mind" and moved
away from Northern CA, but I have been spending lots of time working
with Kenny Murrell in his shop here in Swansea IL. He is almost
finished with several really sweet new cues (including a new cue for
my Personal Arsenal!) that I hope to have up on the website shortly. I
have also just received a beautiful new cue from "Uncle Larry" Mohr as
well which will be uploaded into the Inventory just as soon as I get
back to the Bay Area. Keep your eyes peeled for more cues on the site
around March 12th! |

02/17/05 Update --
A good friend of mine asked me to take some photos and to verify the
condition of his Ron Haley cue. The cue is SO NICE that I offered to
post it on my site for him. It will be here for a LIMITED TIME ONLY
and if you want to check it out, just click
HERE
-- ENJOY! |

02/07/05 Update -- Five
Kenneth Murrell cues have been added to the Current Cue
Gallery...one day earlier than I had predicted! I have also moved
all of the cues sold over the past few weeks to the Archive Cue
Gallery just in case you want to see the ones "that got away" :-)
|
| |
|
02/03/05 Update -- Five
Kenneth Murrell cues will be uploaded to the Current Cue
Gallery on 02/08/05 INCLUDING Kenny's personal playing
cue....if you're curious what kind of cue a cue maker keeps
for himself to shoot with, keep your eyes glued to the site
and find out! I twisted Kenny's arm to part with his personal
cue....I convinced him that he's just too busy making cues to
play pool anymore :-)

01/29/05 UPDATE --
By popular request, I've added lots of new information about
Tip Replacement to the
Tip Maintenance and Replacement section.
|
| |
|
01/19/05 MAJOR
UPDATE -- I've moved all of the recently sold cues
over to the
Archive Cue Gallery, and replaced them in the
Current Cue Gallery with lots of new ones. I've also
created new pictures for every cue in the Current Cue Gallery.
Each picture was taken initially with a 5 Megapixel camera
using daylight corrected (5000 degree K) studio lights
which gives the reader "true colors". The pictures are then
reduced in size to make them easier to view. You will notice
that some of the pictures appear lighter or darker than
"normal". I have done this purposely to capture detail that I
want my the reader to see. I'm also using some new compression
SW that optimizes the pictures better so that people with slow
connections won't have to wait quite so long the detailed
photos to download.
I've also added a new measurement to the
spec sheet of each of the cue in the Current Cue Gallery. I
now check the diameter of the Cue Butt at 9 inches above the
bottom of the Butt Cap. The reason for the extra measurement
is simple....most cue makers taper the butts on their cues
differently from each other (they can also vary from
cue-to-cue made by the same cue maker). Some people like
playing with "thin" cues and some prefer "thicker" ones, so to
aid people who care about such things, I've added the diameter
of the handle in the spot that usually sits in the middle of
my grip hand. You may normally grip your cue in a different
place than I do, but you'll get a feel (pardon the pun) for
the thickness of each cue by comparing the relative cross
sectional dimensions of the ones that you're interested in.
I've also updated virtually every page on
the site to improve the format and readability of the
information as well as make it easier to figure out how to
order products from the site. I have still chosen not to put a
"shopping cart" on the site since I prefer to work
one/one with my customers to ensure that I provide the
personalized service people have come to expect from me. Like
many of the craftsman I work with, Wolfbite Cue Solutions is a
"one-man shop" and I do everything myself (website
development, photography, article writing, cue testing, cue
measurements, shipping and receiving, you name it....I even
find time to shoot pool!).
I've added two new product lines for this
update...."Uncle Larry"
Custom Cues, and
Engles Custom Cue Cases. Please check them out as you
wander around the site.
I've begun writing cue articles again
(FINALLY!), and I've added the beginnings of a
Tip Maintenance and Repair
section as well as updated the information in the
Tip Selection and
Shaft and Ferrule Maintenance
sections. I will continue writing more new articles over the
next several months so keep watching for them.
After you've finished checking out all of the
updates, please send me an email at
big.john.rea@wolfbite.com
and let me know what you think about the site...both
good AND bad! |
