Kenneth Murrell (Kenny to his friends) produces
approximately 45 custom cues a year from his one-man shop in Panama
City FL. His 21 years of service in the Navy as a machinist, his love of
woodturning, and his passion for pool has led him toward becoming one
of hottest new Cue Makers to hit the green in recent years. Kenny
combines his Engineering background with his intimate knowledge of
wood and old-world woodworking techniques (he is the third generation
of a family of Master Woodworkers) to make cues that play better
than they look, and they look INCREDIBLE!
Kenny's loving wife Laura takes an active part during
the design phase and lends her critical eye throughout the process to
ensure that each cue maintains the right balance of inlays, colors, and wrap
texture, that will set them apart esthetically. While esthetics are
important, Kenny never loses sight of the cue's primary purpose which
is to become an extension of the Player and to help raise their game
to a new level.
Kenny strives to tailor his cues toward Players
rather than Collectors and to that end he is constantly seeking out
new and better materials that enhance the performance of his cues. Of
course, he still loves working with classic materials like Ivory and Buckhorn but he does
like to "upgrade" their performance by combining them
with modern materials and techniques that improve their hit and
durability when they're used as Joints and Ferrules. His use of skin
wraps (ring-neck and crocodile lizard are amongst his favorite
materials to use) along with his beautiful un-wrapped handles gives the
discriminating Player
one more reason to "fall in love" with Kenny's cues.
Although Kenny has only been building cues full-time since 2002, when
he retired honorably from the Navy, his many customers keep him very
busy with a constant stream of custom orders and the average wait for
a custom cue is currently 9-12 months. Since I am Kenny's Texas
Distributor, I try to keep a limited supply of his cues "on-hand" to
meet the needs of Players who would prefer not to wait so long to
experience the pleasure of using one of his cues.

My goal is to keep as many of Kenny's cues in stock
as I can, but they are very popular and don't stay in inventory for
very long (they are often sold while they're still being built!). The cues below are available for immediate
delivery, so just "click" on the thumbnail picture of the cue you're
interested in and you will be taken to a page with all the details.

in my case!) and I invite you to click on the thumbnail pictures
