In this section I will attempt to break-down all of the mechanical parts of pool cues (as well as snooker and carom cues) and will as time permits, go into the details of each of the important components.

If you are new to the science and art of cues, you will discover that cue makers can and do use a staggering number of different materials (as well as techniques) in their quest for producing the "ultimate cue". Like most artisans, cue makers can be rather secretive about their techniques (and occasionally their materials), but hopefully, I will be able to shed some light on some of the important aspects of the cue makers art.

A personal note from Big John....Initially, the reader will need to be satisfied with just the two pictures and the associated labels that are shown below, and I hope to begin to flesh this section out in the near future
